Rain, midnight rain, nothing but the wild rain On this bleak hut, and solitude, and me Remembering again that I shall die And neither hear the rain nor give it thanks For washing me cleaner than I have been Since I was born into this solitude. Blessed are the dead that the rain rains upon: But here I pray that none whom once I loved

At a dead man's throat lies the rain drenched woolen scarf that stifled his screams. Cold Winds howl through decayed trees - witnesses in the shadows.

Your languorous glances Whisper their longing For me always gently To my yearning ears Through all my dreams Those wonderful words of love Hidden under the lingering Shadow of your rainbow Colored eloquently Pretty lips Fall in roseates Of wet and warm kisses Towards my cloudy dreams

A slight rain comes, bathed in dawn light. I hear it among treetop leaves before mist Arrives. Soon it sprinkles the soil and, Windblown, follows clouds away. Deepened Colors grace thatch homes for a moment. Flocks and herds of things wild glisten Faintly. Then the scent of musk opens across Half a mountain -- and lingers on past noon

Rain drops from the clouds and onto trees, Down the tree trunks and off the leaves. Down a mountain, into a brook, Past a chipmunk in a nook. Into a pond, off a log. On top of a turtle and onto a frog. Onto roads, onto the grass, Onto trains and trucks that pass. On top of bridges, cars and boats. Even onto people's coats. Onto houses and my windowpane. I just love to watch the drops, The drips and drops of rain.

I origin from the land
where there is a lake
I fall as drops
and falter over leaves
I'll wet the throat of the crops
and through the leaves I reaches the hives
I take and give and
give and take
I end in a land
from which I wake

I like the town on rainy nights
When everything is wet �
When all the town has magic lights
And streets of shining jet!
When all the rain about the town
Is like a looking-glass,
And all the lights are upside-down
Below me as I pass.
In all the pools are velvet skies,
And down the dazzling street
A fairy city gleams and lies
In beauty at my feet.

Overcast and grey mostly,Until that day of February,
When heavens relented finally.Coming down on earth in gushes,
It poured out its Grace ceaselessly.Like a mist arising,
over a rain kissed parched earth.A ray of hope emerged,
From somewhere deep within.To sooth her aching heart,
In love she wished,to submerge again.

After the dust and heat,
In the broad and fiery street,
In the narrow lane,

How it clatters along the roofs

There's a calming sensation from grass to air,

I wonder what makes life so auspicious
inspite of the whole world being so malicious
